PowerNetbox v4.7.0.0 — NetBox 4.7.0 compatibility + wildcard/regex queries

Minimal-compat release for NetBox 4.7.0 (GA 2026-09-02), tested against NetBox 4.7.0 / 4.6.10 / 4.5.10 / 4.4.10 / 4.3.7. New 4.7 models (cooling infrastructure, module bay types) and fields are tracked in #473 for follow-up releases.

NetBox 4.7 compatibility (#474)

  • Services port_mappings — NetBox 4.7 replaces protocol/ports with a unified list (tcp/80, udp/53) so one service can expose a port on several protocols; the legacy pair is deprecated and removed in NetBox 5.0. New -Port_Mappings on New-/Set-/Get-NBIPAMService and -NBIPAMServiceTemplate (4.7+, dropped with a warning on older servers). -Ports/-Protocol keep working; -Ports is no longer mandatory on New-*. New-NBIPAMService now sends -Tags (previously ignored).
  • Per-object bulk errors — failed bulk create/update on 4.7 returns {"detail", "errors": [{"index", "errors"}]}; the error message now lists [index] field: message per failing object.
  • ValidateSet parity with 4.7.0: Interface -Type gains channel, 100gbase-x-sfp112, the nine InfiniBand 4X types and hpe-synergy-interconnect-link; Front/RearPort -Type gains mdc; Cable -Cable_Profile gains breakout-1c8p-8c1p.
  • Query-option maps (-IgnoreCase / -MatchMode) extended for 4.7: protocol on services/service-templates is now a method filter (only __n), so it is excluded there; five new cooling-related string params added.
  • Documented: selection custom fields are returned as {value, label} objects on 4.7; ?exclude=config_context is ignored (-Omit config_context still works); API token plaintext is read-only on create (never exposed by New-NBToken).

Wildcard / regex query matching (#469, #464 — @danubie)

  • New -MatchMode Exact|Wildcard|Regex on Set-NBQueryOption and Connect-NBAPI, orthogonal to -IgnoreCase. Wildcard converts PowerShell wildcards to an anchored __regex/__iregex lookup; Regex sends your pattern as-is (substring semantics). Per-version/per-endpoint support maps keep unsupported lookups from silently returning unfiltered results (NetBox 4.4+).
  • Get-NBQueryOption reports both options; scripts/Verify-QueryParameterHandling.ps1 refactored (with tests) to audit the maps against a live schema.

CI / tooling

  • Matrix: v4.7.0-5.1.0 + v4.6.10-5.0.2 added (4.6.3 dropped); branching plugin 1.1.3 (4.6.x) / 1.2.0 (4.7.x).
  • netbox-docker 5.0.2+ only provisions v2 API tokens (needs SUPERUSER_API_KEY + SUPERUSER_API_TOKEN); docker-compose.ci.yml now yields a deterministic nbt_powernetbox1.… token.
  • Pester pinned to 5.7.1 in all workflows (PSGallery's Pester 6 removed Assert-MockCalled) (#472); Dependabot: setup-buildx 4.2.0 (#468), actions/cache v6 (#467).
